Based out of Northern CA, A Sow’s Ear owner, Stephanie Sherwood “opened” her boutiques doors in October of 2002. What started out as a mother-daughter team sewing handbags has evolved into a unique mobile boutique and on-line store specializing in purses, fashion jewelry and gift items. The selection of purses range from casual cotton bags to sophisticated evening bags and everything in between. The jewelry is hand-selected to keep you up-to-date with today’s trends. And the gift items are fun and whimsical and sure to bring a smile to any purse or jewelry lover. For Fall 2005 - A Sow’s Ear is debuting their own line of hand-appliquéd children’s bags. Since we are a mobile boutique, we have two great advantages. First, we can set up our boutique anywhere. Second, we don’t have the overhead of a store front, so we can pass those savings along to our customers. Now with 4 mobile boutiques, A Sow’s Ear is able to offer an array of shopping options to meet your needs: private purse parties, business events, fundraisers and even a personal shopping service! Bringing our store to you – is what we do. Even though we are a mobile boutique we strive to bring the same look and level of service you would assume to find in any upscale boutique across the United States.We greet all of our guests as they enter the event, we encourage our guests to try on the jewelry, put the bag on their shoulder and walk around with it. All merchandise is professionally handled when the guest makes their purchase—handled bags for the purses and organdy bags for the jewelry.
